Ture Sjolander, a 15th generation Swede, was born in Sweden on 19 july 1937. His father, was posted in Kiruna in the North Sweden at the outbreak of World War II. Ture Sjolander served in the Swedish Defence Force, the signaltroops, during the Suez-Crisis, 1956/57.
Ture Sjolander secured the Collin Submarine business between Australia and Sweden 1987 and later 2001 he proposed the establishment of the Immigration Detention Centre
